Pre-Release: What is it? A Pre-Release is your first look inside the latest booster set. New MTG TRADING CARD GAME booster sets are released every three months. Add these new cards to your collection, or create a new Deck based on the featured new themes, or add the new cards to your current Decks to make them more powerful than ever. At a Pre-Release, you’ll get 6 booster packs of Avacyn Restored, and use just those cards to build a new Deck. The minimum Deck size at a Pre-Release is lowered to 40 cards. Since only these new cards are used, everyone has a chance to win their matches! Additional booster packs will be awarded (2 packs per player), but you can buy more packs of Avacyn Restored on May 4th at ARG! Each participant also receives a rare promo card (while supplies last). At the ARG prerelease you could have the opportunity to open your own Helvault! When you get achievements you will physically break a seal on ARG's own Helvault. Once all the seals have been broken, the store will open their Helvault and all the players will share the spoils within!
